  2. Tournament Format : There will be two round-robin groups of four teams.
    Winner of each group will play the runner up of the other group. For instance, winner of Group A will play the runner up of Group B (Game 1). The runner up of Group A will then take on the winner of Group B(Game 2). The winner of games 1 and 2 will then face off in the final for 1st and 2nd placings. The loser of games 1 and 2 will take on eachother in a fight for 3rd and 4th placings. This system also applies for the bottom half of Groups A and B (Game 3 and 4) to determine 5th,6th, 7th and 8th placings.

  3. Game Format : 40 minutes per match, half-time If the score is 10-11 in the 40th minute, the current point is played on til a team scores. If the score becomes 11-11, another 1 point shall be played. Whoever scores that next point and reaches 12, wins the game. If teams have finished the previous point but have not pulled for the next point when time is called, and Team A is leading by at least one goal, Team A will be declared the winner. Any team with a lead of more than one goal when time is called will be the winner.

  4. Timeout : Maximum duration of 1 minute in each half of the match. Timeouts can be floated (carried over to the next half).

  5. Field : 64m (length) by 37m (width), with end zones 18m deep.

  6. Gender Ratio : Any team that does not comply with this rule, shall be penalized half a point each point that is played with one female player short. For example, a 6:1 ratio shall incur a 0.5 point penalty and a 7:0 ratio, a 1 point penalty. The ratio of 5:2 is strongly encouraged, but of course, captains may come to an agreement otherwise before the game.

  7. Tourney seeding/drawing lots : There will be a mixture of seeding and drawing lots. Teams will be seeded into top 4 or bottom 4 in the tourney. The seeding process will be based on the various teams' performance in past tourneys. (Taylor's Indoor, INTEC Open, etc).

  8. To maintain fairness to teams, the organizers of this tourney will not have complete power over the schedule of your teams. The top 4 teams will be asked to draw lots to see whether they are placed in Group A or Group B. This applies for the bottom 4 teams. This will be done to ensure that two top 4 and two bottom 4 seeds will occupy both groups. By doing this, we will avoid the grouping of all top 4 seeds in one group.

  9. Team Size : STRICTLY a MAXIMUM of 15 players. All teams are required to play with the same set of 15 players for the entire tournament. No exceptions will be made. For example, if one player cannot play due to injury, the team has to continue playing with 14 players. No requests to change this rule will be entertained.

  10. Team registration : FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. So please register fast! Deadline for registration and payment is 5th of December 2008. Kindly be prompt on payment as we are organizing a high budget tourney and handling a lot of money although this is a non-profit tourney. Your co-operation will be much appreciated.   12. Here comes the good part. =)

    Lunch : Lunch will be provided in the form of Domino's pizza. Each team will get a fixed amount of pizzas. Maybe 5 per team or so. And teams may contact me or Jiu Hwei (email addresses above) to pre-order your preference of pizza flavors.

    Water : Each team will be provided with a carton of bottled water each. There is a water cooler at our venue so you are free to re-fill your bottles when empty.

    Greatest goodie of them all!

    The new schedule will have a transition period between games of 10 minutes (where teams can cheer and play games) and this will include a 40 minute lunch break. Every team will have one game’s rest between every game. The final will be the only game played at that time so all focus will be on it.

  14. The HELP Ultimate Team (Jumpers) as well as myself are overjoyed with the outlook and planning of this tournament. We look forward to having a successful tournament. We also hope to give the Ultimate Community of KL and beyond a decent tourney. So hopefully we will receive a good response. We look forward to running this tournament.
